Pollay, William C., was born in Elmira, N. Y., September 18, 1831. He learned his trade of candy maker in Ithaca,
and came to Medina in 1870 where he has since carried on a successful business. He is a Mason, a member of the
A. O. U. W., and of the Protective Legion. He married Esther Porter, and they have one daughter, Addie. Mr. Pollay
is the only life member of the Masonic Blue Lodge in Orleans county. His father was Miles Pollay, and his mother
Adeline (Eaton) Pollay.
