Henion, J. L., was born in Ontario county December 29, 1823, and in 1835 moved to Orleans county, where he has
ever since resided. He learned the trade of harness maker and followed it for twenty three years, but has also
been engaged in the hotel business. In 1857 he married Mary E. Parsons. and they have one son, Louis E., who was
born August 23, 1862. After a clerkship of seven years and five years in the service of the American Express Co.,
he embarked in the grocery business in Medina in 1891. In 1886 he married Carrie B. Graves, and they have one daughter,
Frances E.
