Gillette, Willis A., was born in Ridgeway, September 4, 1841. He is one of the leading farmers and fruit growers
of Ridgeway. In 1864 he married Amanda Tanner His father is Parley Gillette, who is now eighty nine years of age,
and has lived in Ridgeway since 1820, a longer residence than that of any other man in town. His mother was Emeline
Bottom. Mr. Gillette's grandfather, Levi Gillette, and Parley Gillette walked to Ridgeway from Dansville in 1820,
when this part of the State was still a wilderness.
