ALFRED B. ROE, of Chester, N. Y., was horn at that place June 9, 1880. He graduated from Chester Academy and later attended Lafayette College, at Easton, Pa. Following his schooling he assisted his father on the borne farm. He married Frances A. Decker, of Chester. April 3, 1902, and they have one son, Alfred Russell, born January 30, 1905.

Mr. Roe's parents were Alfred Booth and Martha (Durland) Roe. The homestead farm has been in the possession of the family for about one hundred and seventy five years. Mr. and Mrs. Roe are members of the First Presbyterian Church of Chester.
