Praker, E. C., was born in Wheatfield, a son of August and Wilhelmina (Krull) Praker, natives of Prusia; August
Praker came to America in 1847 when he was seventeen years of age. After a clerkship of six years in Buffalo, Mr.
E. C. Praker began business for himself in his present stand. 245 Paynes avenue corner Thompson street in North
Tonawanda, in a general grocery business. He is not only an able and successful business man, but is highly popular
and takes a warm interest in the German Lutheran church, of which he is a member and has been its treasurer for
several years. In 1887 he married Flora Zimmerman and they have one daughter, Viola, born February 21, 1893.
