Kenyon, Edgar E., Somerset, one of the enterprising young farmers of Somerset, was horn in Galesburg, Kalamazoo
county, Mich., July 17, 1858, and is a son of Jonathan and Melissa (Thayer) Kenyon. He came with his parents to
Somerset when seven years of age, where he attended school and at Yates Academy, Orleans county, after which he
assisted his father on the farm until he went to work for himself. November 16, 1881, he married Miss Abbey, daughter
of Alvin and Ester (Humphrey) Abbey, and they have five children: Roy Alvin, born January 6, 1885; E. Abbey, born
May 13, 1886; Howard E., born September 5, 1881; Carleton S., born May 26, 1892, and Guy, born April 5, 1894. Mr.
Kenyon has been school trustee for a number of years. He is a prosperous farmer, devoting his attention to fruit
growing and grain raising.
