Seaver, Alanson D., son of William and Eliza (French) Seaver, was born in Watertown, N. Y., in 1845. His parents were natives of Vermont and among the early settlers of Watertown. Alanson D. was early apprenticed at the machinist's trade and was employed for many years by the Davis Sewing Machine Company as a tool maker. He was elected county treasurer in 1884 and re-elected in 1887; he was also city clerk for one year. He is now associated with Mr. Frank H. Munson, under the firm name of Munson & Seaver, who are city agents for the Agricultural Insurance Company.
