Potter, Harrison C., was born in Adams, N. Y., December 20, 1864, a son of P. C. and Luthera (Gould) Potter,
P. C. Potter was born in Paris, Oneida county, in 1824, and his wife was born in Lorraine, a daughter of Amos Gould,
a native of Massachusetts, who came early to Jefferson county. Mr. and Mrs. Potter had two children, Harrison C.
and Celia, wife of F. W. Dixon of Dexter, N. Y. Harrison C. was educated at Adams Collegiate Institute and Ives
Seminary, and was graduated from the University of Buffalo in 1894; he came to Mannsville, N. Y., the same year,
where he has had a very successful practice. Dr. Potter was married June 12, 1895, to Rhoda F., daughter of Hon.
H. J. Lane of Sackets Harbor. Dr. Potter is a member of Mannsville Lodge No. 175, I. O. O. F. and of the Jefferson
County Medical Association. Dr. Potter has traveled in twenty-six different States and seen considerable for a
young man. He is a Republican and has been health officer for two years. He is now chairman of the Republican town
committee and was president of the McKinley and Hobart Club and has for two years been chief of the fire department,
being the organizer of it.
