Mansfield, Lois F., M. D., was born in Manlius, Onondaga county, N. Y., October 5, 1830. She began the study
of medicine with Dr. Sprague while teaching the district school in Manlius Center in 1847. Again, while teaching
school in Burr's Mills, Jefferson county, in 1853, she read medicine under the direction of Dr. C. D. Potter. She
was graduated from the Woman's Medical College of Chicago, Ill., in 1876, and joined the Jefferson County Medical
Society October 3, 1876. She is in active practice in Watertown at the present time, 1897.
