Jerome, Fred J., son of Melvin J. and Lorette Jerome, was born in Lafargeville in 1873, educated in the public
schools and Adams Collegiate Institute. After leaving school Mr. Jerome settled on a farm of his own on the main
road four miles south of Lafargeville, where he has since resided. He is a thorough practical man, and excellent
farmer. His father holds at the present time the position of collector of the port of the Thousand Islands, while
his brother, Manford. J. Jerome, is a druggist in Lafargeville. In politics Mr. Jerome is a Democrat. He is highly
respected, successful and a useful citizen.
