Inglehart, Hiram F., was born in Hounsfield, March 28, 1846, a son of Cornelius W. and Emmeline (Foote) Inglehart.
Mr. Inglehart has been a merchant of Watertown for several years and was one of the original stockholders in the
Westminster Park, and has been proprietor of the hotel there since 1884. In 1888 he was elected alderman of the
Fourth ward. He married Nettie Blodgett, and they have eight children. He is proprietor of the Columbian Hotel
at Thousand Island. Park and formerly proprietor of the Thousand Island House at Alexandria Bay. He was mayor of
the city of Watertown in 1893 and 1894. He is vicepresident of the Watertown Street Railroad Co., a director in
three banks of the city and of the Agricultural Insurance Company and is on the finance committee in these institutions
Mr. Inglehart is man of remarkable executive ability, whose opinion and advice is sought upon important financial
matters. He has been for many years an active member of the Odd Fellows and is a past grand in that organization,
besides being prominent in other societies.
