Hooker, Harold Louis, was born in the town of Brownville, Jefferson county, N. Y. March 9, 1869. HiS education
was obtained from the public and high schcols, graduating from the latter in 1886, and immediately began the study
of law in the office of his brother, G. S. Hooker, where he remained until 1889, when he entered the Albany Law
School and was graduated with highest honors in the class of 1890, receiving the degree of LL. B. In May, 1890,
he was admitted to the bar at Syracuse. After graduation from the law school he became instructor at that institution,
where he remained for two years, when he removed to Watertown and began the practice of his profession. In September,
1892, he formed a copartnership with his brother under the firm name of G. S. & H. L. Hooker, which partnership
still continues. Mr. Hooker was married September 16, 1897, to Fanny E. G., daughter of the late Rev. Dr. R. A.
Olin.
