Hardiman, John.-One of the leading contractors and builders of Watertown is Mr. John Hardiman. He has been engaged
in his present vocation for many years, having built the county clerk's office, which is an imposing two story
building of stone and brick, the school houses on Cooper and Academy streets, the plant of the Watertown Engine
Company, and many more of prominence, such as business blocks, residences, etc. Mr. Hardiman is a native of Ireland,
born in 1843, and has been a resident of the city of Watertown since 1866. He is a prosperous and successful business
man, a leading citizen, and a man of many friends.
