Fawdrey, John, was born in the town of Hounsfield, September 22, 1836; was educated in the district schools
and is one of the town's best farmers. June 21, 1861, he married Caroline Harris of Wolf's Island, Canada, and
they had four children Alice G., George (died at age of twelve), Walter and May. Mr. Fawdrey's father, Daniel Fawdrey,
was born in Oxfordshire, England, December 10, 1810; he was educated there and is a farmer by occupation. In 1833
he married Sussana Faulks of his native place, and came to the United States and located in this town; they had
seven children: Henry, John, David (who is a noted physician in Watertown), Elizabeth, James, Mary Ann and Caroline.
Daniel Fawdrey died January 5, 1880, and his widow December 1, 1880. Mrs. Caroline Fawdrey's father, John Harris,
was born in Oxfordshire, England, in 1810; was educated there and was a millwright by occupation. In 1833 he married
Ann Faulks of his native place and came to the United States in 1834, locating in the town of Houndsfleld. They
had six children: Caroline, John J., Luther, Christopher, Maria and William. Mr. Harris died in 1882 and his widow
in 1888.
