Eddy, E. E., M. D., was born at Lafargeville, Jefferson county, N.Y., March 27, 1862. His father, Daniel Eddy,
purchased a farm of John Lafarge about 1840. He married Mary, daughter of John Francisco, and through life was
identified as a farmer. He served as justice of the peace for twenty.four years and justice of sessions one term,
and was one of the founders of the Methodist Protestant church at Lafargeville. He died March 14, 1888. E. E. Eddy
was educated at Lafargeville, Antwerp, medical department of the University of Michigan and was graduated from
the medical department, University of Buffalo, in 1890, coming to Redwood in the same year. In 1892 he married
Sadie, daughter of Hon. Isaac Mitchell. Dr. Eddy is one of the progressive men of his town, serving as coroner
two terms and taking an intelligent interest in educational and religious institutions, being president of the
Board of Education, and has ever advanced the best interests of his town.
