Buck, Robert Jones, has been a resident of the city of Watertown since 1880, having removed from St. Albans,
Vt., to accept a position with the Davis Sewing Machine Company, in whose employ he remaineci for three years.
At the end of this service he was offered a position as bookkeeper with the firm of Farwell & Rhines, which
he accepted and held for eight years, and then resigned to become a member of the coal firm of Marcy, Buck &
Riley, wholesale dealers in coal, in which business he is now engaged. He was married in August, 1887, to Mary,
daughter of Richard Marcy of Watertown. Mr. Buck is a trustee of the Jefferson County Savings Bank, also of the
City Hospital. He is a member of the Royal Arcanum, Corona Lodge, I. O. O. F., and was the first president of the
Lincoln League.
