Adams, Dr. Murray M., was graduated from the New York Homeopathic Medical College, April 16, 1885. He commenced
practice in the dispensary of that institution, where he remained nearly a year, then located in St. Albans, Vt.,
and seven months later removed to Watertown, his native city, where he is now in successful practice. In 1892 he
was appointed by Mayor Roth on the city Board of Health and served three years. In 1893 he was appointed state
commissioner of health by Governor Flower, in which capacity he also served three years, and through his influence
a bill was passed giving the city of Watertown absolute control of its water supply, in regard to its san itary
condition. He is by appointment of the trustees one of the attending physician at the Henry Keep Home, and is also
serving on the medical board of the City Hospital.
