Wright, Orlo W., p. o. Corfu, N. Y., Darien's commissioner of highways, and one
of her progressive and enterprising citizens, is the youngest of a family of four children born to George W. and
Elizabeth (Wickmore) Wright, and was born in the town of Alden, Erie county, N. Y., July 17, 1859. He is of English
descent, his grandfather, Morris Wright, having come to this country from England in the year 1818. Mr. Wright
is a member of the Genesee County Grange. He is one of the thorough farmers of Darien. and in addition to operating
his farm, he is engaged in dealing in cattle, employing one or more men to assist in his farm work; his farm of
eighty acres is situated just south of Corfu village. Mr. Wright has succeeded in gaining a competency of this
world's goods and is surrounded by all the attributes of a happy home.
