His father came from Connecticut to Batavia in 1813 and bought land of the Holland Land Company. He was member of assembly from this county in 1836 and 1837. He died November 7, 1876. Charles F. Seward was married October 8, 1854, to Pamelia, daughter of Edward and Joanna (Hoksley) Dykeman; they have two children: Olive, wife of Charles H. Dean of Alexander; and Ora M. Mrs. Seward died in April, 1879. Mr. Seward is a member of North Alexander Grange. He is an intelligent, companionable man and stands deservedly high in the esteem of all who know him. Winfield S.
