Nash, Amerissa E., p. o. East Oakfleld, N. Y., was born in Barre, N. Y., October
10, 1828, a son of Whitman and Elizabeth (Baggerly) Nash. His father was a wagon maker and dealer in lumber: he
was justice of the peace for twelve years and town clerk two years. A. E. Nash was educated in the old log house
and has always been a farmer. He married Harriet, daughter of George W. gardner; they have one daughter, Miriam.
Mr. Nash is one of the representative men of Oakfield, of sterling integrity, and has always been interested in
the progress of his town, always taking an active part in church and school matters.
