Thomas Mogridge's carriage shops are located at 2 Seaver Place. In 1877 he started the business here, but previous
to that, in 1875, he was located for two years on Clark Place. He employs from five to seven men, manufacturing
all kinds of wagons and carriages, and has a blacksmith shop connected with his business. Mr. Mogridge was born
in England, April 18, 1835. In 1852 he came to Batavia and worked at his trade, which he had learned in England.
He married Sarah Lyons, and they have three children.
