Mrs. Huldah Hubbell, born in New York. was a daughter of Thomas and Christina Burgess. He was a farmer in Western
New York, and had two sons and eight daughters. Mrs. Hubbell first married Porter, son of James T. and Delilah
(Robinson) Burroughs, who was born in Hannibal, N. Y., and came to Pembroke with his parents. He moved to Steuben
County, Ind., where he resided a few years, and died there, when Mrs. Burroughs, with her children, returned to
this county. Her children are Alonzo, of Michigan; William A., of New York; and Anna M., who married Lucius Loomis.
William A, who enlisted in the 8th N. Y. Art., lives in Pembroke, and married Frances Madison. For her second husband
she married James Hubbell, a farmer, who came to Le Roy in 1873 and died in 1876.
