Libbeus Allen came to Batavia in 1817 from Otsego County, N. Y., and settled in the northwest part of the town.
He had a family of seven children. His son William was born November 7, 1819, and has always resided in the county.
He married Rebecca Carr, and they have two children, Franklin W., who resides in Oakfield, and Jennie, wife of
Alexander Clark, who resides at Lakeville, Livingston County.
