Frederick L. Allen, born in Malone November 27, 1863, is a graduate of Franklin Academy and Hamilton College;
and after admission to the bar removed to New York city, where he was associated with Davies, Stone & Auerbach
for some years. Twenty odd years ago he was appointed assistant to the general solicitor of the Mutual Life Insurance
Company, and about ten years ago was advanced to be himself the general solicitor, a remarkable selection for a
comparatively young man. Mr. Allen has an excellent professional standing at the New York bar, and his work in
his present position has been of a markedly high grade.
