Wright, William D., Aurora, p. o. East Aurora, born in Stephentown, Rensselaer county, N. Y., October 13, 1829, is a son of Leonard A. and Clarrissa Wright, both born in Eastern New York. The grandfather, Jacob Wright, was an early settler in Eastern New York. The father of William was a farmer and came to Wales in 1834, where he died in 1851, and his wife in 1844. Mr. Wright was reared on a farm and educated in the common schools. He has been a farmer and speculator in stock and now has 480 acres of land in Wales and 130 acres in Aurora. He has made his own property and is one of the well to do men of East Aurora. He was married in 1852 to Abigail Virgil of Wales, and they had four children, Elmore V., M. J., Gertrude and Grace.
