Walker, Stephen, is a Buffalonian by birth and has always lived in that city. His first business experience
was as a clerk in the shoe store of Harry K. Koch, where he remained for five years, when he entered the wholesale
boot and shoe store of his uncle, Mr. W. H. Walker, and in 1893 became a partner in the business, which is one
of the largest- and most extensive wholesale houses between New York and Chicago. He is a son of Charles R. and
Angeline (Lake) Walker, his father being one of the old settlers of Buffalo, coming to that city in 1832. Mr. Walker
was married to Fanny W. Treat of Hartford, Conn., September 18, 1883.
