Biography of Peter W. Taylor

Taylor, Peter W., Buffalo, was born at Lockport, N. Y., November 7, 1861, and removed to Buffalo with his parents when he was but three years of age. His education was limited and at the age of ten years he was compelled to seek employment at the Pratt Rolling Mills at Black Rock, and had been holding various other positions when at the age of seventeen he entered the employ of the Buffalo Street Railway Company, at the Niagara street barns, where he remained for three years, when he accepted a position as a clerk in the freight department of the N. Y. C. & H. R. Railroad, where he remained for eleven years. At the end of this period he accepted his present position as tax sale clerk in the comptroller's office. In 1880 he married Miss Marian G. Roberts, of Buffalo.
