Taylor, Oscar T., Buffalo, was born in Brooklyn, N. Y., February 10, 1870, the son of John A. Taylor and Margaret
(Simpson) Taylor. He attended the public schools of Titusville, Pa., and Olean, N. Y. In 1886 he entered Washington
and Jefferson College, at Washington, Pa., and was graduated June 24, 1890. From June, 1890, until October, 1891,
he acted as secretary of the South West Pennsylvania Pipe Lines and afterwards as a special accountant of the pipe
lines owned by the Standard Oil Company at Pittsburg, Pa. In October, 1891, he entered the Buffalo Law School,
University of Buffalo, and was graduated at the head of his class, May 26, 1893; also taking the $100 prize for
writing the best thesis. He then entered the law office of Clinton & Clark, as managing clerk, in which position
he remained until September 1, 1895, when he opened an office of his own. He was admitted to the bar March 30,
1894. He is village attorney of Depew, having been elected to the office April 5, 1897.
