Biography of Henry B. Selkirk

Selkirk, Henry B., Buffalo, secretary and treasurer of the Queen City Abstract Company, is the son of George H. Selkirk, the present secretary of the Board of Park Commissioners, and of Emily S. Peabody, his wife. His grandfather, John H. Selkirk, was an early and for many years a prominent architect of Buffalo, where his father, George H., was born in 1835. He then entered the employ of the Erie County Guarantied Search Company, with whom he remained until March, 1896, when he resigned to assist in the organization of the Queen City Abstract Company, of which he has since been the secretary and treasurer. Mr. Selkirk is a life member of the Buffalo Library, and a member of the Buffalo Orpheus and the Otewega Club.
