Murphy, Daniel V., Buffalo, was born at Mt. Morris, N. Y., July 13, 1864. He attended the Mt. Morris Academy,
from which he was graduated in 1886. He then began the study of law in the office of John M. Hastings, where he
remained for three years, and was admitted to the bar at Buffalo in January, 1889. He then went to Ithaca and took
a full course in the law department of Cornell University, graduating therefrom in 1890. He then came to Buffalo
and was associated with the firm of Humphrey, Lockwood & Hoyt until January, 1892, when he formed a copartnership
with Chatles H. Avery, and subsequently with his brother, Joseph M. Murphy, now constituting the firm of Murphy
& Murphy.
