Biography of Anson R. Miller


Miller, Anson R., Buffalo, son of William R. and Jane (Rundle) Miller, was born in the province of Ontario, Canada, August 25, 1854. He completed his education in the district schools of his native town and soon after removed to Titusville, Pa., where he conducted a retail grocery business for a period of twenty years. In July, 1894, he removed to Buffalo and assumed the management of the White Cap Baking Powder Company. The business has since grown to be one of the largest and most successful enterprises in Western New York. Mr. Miller is a member of the Richmond Avenue Methodist Church, and also of Macedonian Tent No. 85, K. O. T. M. In January, 1883, he married Lizzie, daughter of George Thompson, of Titusville, Pa. They have two children: Mabel A., born December 17, 1883, and Wallace T., born May 14, 1889.
