Biography of Seymour E. McDougall

McDougall, Seymour E., D. D. S., Buffalo, was born in Oneida county, N. Y., April 21, 1856, a son of William J. and Annis A. (Hall) McDougall. He acquired a liberal education in the public schools of Rome, N. Y., and then began the study of dentistry in the Boston Dental College at Boston, Mass. Upon completing his course, he engaged in practice in Clinton, Oneida county, where he remained for some time, and then, having accepted a position as demonstrator at the University of Buffalo, removed to this city and opened an office on Richmond avenue, in the mean time taking a special course and receiving the degree of the university in 1893. He is a member of Clinton Lodge No. 169, F. & A. M., the Buffalo Dental Association, and the Eighth District Dental Society. September 10, 1885, he married Emma M., daughter of Charles M. Seeley, of Syracuse. They have two daughters, Mildred M. and Ruth H.
