Provoost, D., Sons & Co., Buffalo, manufacturers of sails, awnings, tents, and flags, employ about fifty
skillful sailmakers, and carry a full line of canvas, flags, and everything required above decks in fitting out
steam or sailing crafts. They do an extensive business in all the lake ports and among the shipbuilders and owners
of Buffalo. They make a specialty of yacht sails and do an extensive business with the yacht clubs of the city.
