Killom, Luther (deceased), was born in the town of Concord, September 14, 1821. His father, George Killom, came
to the town of Concord in 1816. Luther Killom was educated in the district schools. When he was six years old he
was adopted into the family of Archibald Griffith, the founder of the Griffith Institute, who left the funds in
Luther Killom's hands to endow the Griffith Institute, and faithfully he executed his trust. Mr. Killom was a trustee
of the Board of Education for about twelve years and president for six years, which position he resigned on account
of failing health. In 1843 he married Lucy T., daughter of Healy Fiennan, and they had two children. Mr. Killom
died in 1880, mourned by all who knew him.
