Kelderhouse, Elizabeth I., Hamburg, p. o. Cloverbank.-Jeremiah Kelderhouse was born in Athens, Greene county, N. Y., July 1, 1831, and came to Buffalo with his parents when he was a year old. He was educated in the public schools and was a dealer in wood with his brother John, in the city, until he came to Hamburg, N. Y. January 27, 1857, he married Caroline Snell, and they had five children: Susan H., Rebecca, Elizabeth I., Carrie B. and Charles L. Susan H. married William Berrick of Buffalo, N. Y.; Rebecca married Andrew W. Dieffenback; Carrie B. married James G. Randall, and Elizabeth is a school teacher; Susan died June 12, 1895. Mr. Kelderhouse's father, Jeremiah, was born in Dutchess county, N. Y., in 1794. He married Rebecca Hawley of his native county, and they had eight children: Polly, Thomas, John, James, Samuel, Jeremiah, Jennie and Annie. Mr. Kelderhouse died in 1856 and his widow November 5, 1882.
