Biography of Walter H. Johnson


Johnson, Walter H., secretary and treasurer of the Peter Paul Book Company, Buffalo, was born in Bradford, Vt., July 15, 1847. His first business experience was St. Albans, Vt., as chief clerk in the master mechanic's office of the Central Vermont Railroad, where he remained for twelve years. He then came to Buffalo and became engaged in the oil business with Johnson & Co. In 1893 he became connected with the Peter Paul Book Co. Mr. Johnson is a member of the Buffalo Society of Vermonters, is interested in charitable and philanthropic work of the city, and for some years has been president of the Buffalo Orphan Asylum.
