Johnson, Edward T., was born in New Berlin, N. Y., February 1, 1846. After obtaining a common school education
he entered the cashier's office at the freight station of the Buffalo and Erie Railroad at Buffalo as clerk and
was subsequently appointed cashier of the freight station. In 1873 he became general freight agent of the Buffalo,
New York and Philadelphia Railroad, now the Western New York and Pennsylvania Railway, retaining that responsible
position up to the present time. Mr. Johnson is a veteran of the late war, having enlisted in Co. F, 142d Ill.
Vols., serving his country until he was mustered out in 1865.
