Biography of Albert Henry Jackson

Jackson, Albert Henry, Buffalo, is a son of Benjamin F. and Mary E. (Jocelyn) Jackson. and was born in Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard Island, Mass. On his father's side he is descended from old English stock, while on his mother's he is of Puritan lineage. His early ancestors settled in Connecticut. Mr. Jackson received his preparatory education in Wilmington, Del., and was graduated from Amherst College in the class of 1888. He then came to Buffalo and entered the law office of McMillan, Gluck & Pooley, and was admitted to the bar June 6, 1890. He remained with that firm as managing clerk until 1894, when he accepted a position in the corporation counsel's office which he still holds. He is a member of the Amherst Chapter of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity, and a lawyer of ability.
