Hoag, Mrs. Frances, East Hamburg, p. o. Windom.- Theodore Hoag was born in the town of East Hamburg, N. Y., in 1830; he was educated in the district schools and followed the honorable occupation of farming. February 2, 1870, he married Frances Albert. Mr. Hoag's father, Henry, was born in Washington county in 1800, and came to Erie county with his parents when a boy. He was educated in the schools of that day and was a farmer; he married Alvira Spaulding, and they had eight children: Theodore (as above), Adelia, Wellington S., Harriet, Adelaide, Angeline, David and Jerome, who died young. Mr. Hoag died in 1880 and his wife in 1857. Mrs. Hoag's father, Jerome Albert, was born in Erie county in 1816. He married Eliza Frances, and they had two children, Frances and Joseph; the latter married Gracia Bruce, and they had five children, Minnie, Eliza, Alice, Joseph, jr., and Nellie (deceased). Mr. Albert died in 1850 and his widow in 1869.
