Henn, Frederick, Hamburg, was born in Bavaria, Germany, October 10, 1843. He was educated in their schools until his tenth year, when he came to America with his parents, locating in Buffalo. August 18, 1802, he enlisted in Co. D, 116th N. Y. Vols., and with the exception of sickness, served with his regiment in all their battles. He was married twice, first in 1866 to Annie Getz of Rochester, N. Y., and they had seven children: William C., Frederick, Jr., Annie, Carry, Frank, Otto and Louis L.; Otto and Carry are dead. Mrs. Henn died in 1882, and for his second wife he married Mrs. Mary A. Hoyt. Mr. Henn is a member of N. J. Swift Post No. 440, G. A. R., Department of New York; he is past commander and is now its chaplain. He is a member of the A. O. U. W., Fraternal Lodge No. 625, F. & A. M., of Aaron Chapter No. 307, R. A. M., and Rose Croix Comm andery No. 38, K. P
