Ehinger, Fred H., M. D., West Seneca, p. o. Ebenezer, was born in Phillipsburg, Ontario, Canada, September 28,
1862, son of Rev. Frederick J. and Minnie (Von Strate) Ehinger, natives of Germany, who emigrated to Galveston,
Texas, where they were married. He was a Lutheran minister, and his first work in America was as missionary in
Texas; thence he went to Canada, and is now at Carbondale, Pa. He was educated at Heidelberg University. Fred H.
Ehinger was educated at Buffalo Central High School, Muhlenberg College, Pennsylvania, one year in the Seminary,
and then entered Buffalo Medical College, from which he was graduated in 1886, and at once began practice in Ebenezer,
N. Y., where he is still located, and has secured an extensive practice. November 2, 1886, he married Carrie A.
Reynolds of Alden, N. Y. They have two children, Frederick S and Raymond H. Dr. Ehinger is a Republican, and member
of Evening Star Lodge No. 657, I. O. O. F., Gardenville Tent No. 468, K. O. T. M., Court Ebenezer No. 3240, I.
O. F., South Buffalo Lodge No. 322, A. O. U. W., and of the Chi Phi fraternity.
