Biography of Henry D. Deuchler


Deuchler, Henry D., Buffalo, son of Peter and Jacolina (Pauly) Deuchler, was born in Buffalo, November 25, 1864. He was educated in the public schools and in 1884 entered the drug store of Mrs. Johanna Keller at 761 Seneca street, as clerk. In 1892, in company with Andrew J. Keller, a son of his employer, be purchased the business and the present firm of Keller & Deuchier was formed. Mr. Deuchler is of German descent, his father having come to this country in 1847, settling in Dundee, Ill., whence he removed to Buffalo, and his mother having come from Germany to Buffalo in 1847. He is a member of the Erie County Pharmaceutical Association, the New York State Pharmaceutical Association, Red Jacket Lodge No. 238, I. O. O. F., Cazenovia Tribe No. 330, I. O. R. M., and the Knights of Pythias. In October, 1890, he married Carrie, daughter of Stephen Keller of Buffalo.
