Cole, Herman B., M. D., Hamburg, was born in the town of East Hamburg, N. Y., September 6, 1872, and was graduated
from the Hamburg Academy in 1890. He began the study of medicine in the medical department of the University of
Buffalo, and was graduated May 5, 1896, and has since practiced in Hamburg with increasing success. December 8,
1896, he married Ellen M., only daughter of James and Margaret McCue, of Buffalo, N. Y. Dr. Cole's father, Nelson
W., was born in the town of East Hamburg in 1837, where he carried on farming. He married Josephine V. Blackmar,
and they had two children: Effie A., who died November 9, 1890, and Herman B. (as above). Dr. Cole is a member
of Triumph Lodge No. 712, I. O. O. F., also of Tent No. 20, K. O. T. M., and holds the office of tent physician.
