Biography of George B. Cole


Cole, George B., Hamburg, p. o. Lakeview, was born in the State of Maryland, October 4, 1849, and came to New York State in 1875, where he entered the employ of the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Railway, first as a clerk at Angola. He was shortly Sent to Morehead, Pa., and soon after came to Lakeview, where he has had continuous service as station master. In 1883 he married Etta Parmenter of Buffalo, N. Y., and they have one son, Oliver. Mr. Cole is a member of Fraternity Lodge No. 635, F. & A. M., and of the A. O. U. W., No. 188 Mr. Cole's father, Jonas, was born at the old home in Maryland and married Martha Neville. They had seven children. Mr. Cole died in 1878 and his wife in 1865.
