Biography of John G. Cloak


Cloak, John G., Buffalo, was born in that city, August 1, 1858. He attended St. Joseph's College and was graduated from there with the class of 1873. Leaving college, he entered the office of Gen. John C. Graves, began studying law, and was formally admitted to the bar in April, 1880. After many years of valuable service in the Superior Court of Buffalo, serving in the capacity of deputy clerk, he resigned his commission in the year 1887 and opened an office for the general practice of his profession, and is at present recognized as one of the leading members of the Buffalo bar.
