Baker, W. H., M. D., Amherst, p. o. Williamsville, was born in Lancaster, N. Y., September 8, 1866, a son of
H. S. and Susan (Gipple) Baker, both of whom are living in Williamsville. The family dates back to Revolutionary
times in this county, and Dr. Baker's great grandparents were involved in the Wyoming massacre, although they escaped.
Dr. Baker was educated in the Parker Union School and the University of Buffalo, from which he was graduated in
1890. He opened an office in Williamsville, April 15, 1890, and has since practiced here. He also has an office
at 610 Main street, Buffalo, where he is to be found every day, and where he gives his entire attention to the
treatment of hernia, varicocele, hydrocele and all genito urinary diseases, in which line he is a most prominent
and successful specialist. In 1892 the doctor married Mary L. Gold, and they have one son, Cecil.
