Biography of Charles Baker


Baker, Charles, West Seneca, p. o. County Line. was born in West Seneca, January 28, 1866, a son of Gottlieb and Augusta (Kotzerke) Baker, natives of Germany, who came to America and settled in Buffalo, thence moved to West Seneca, where he died in 1860; his widow still survives him. Charles Baker was educated in Buffalo and in 1892 married Helena, daughter of August and Elizabeth Telschow, natives of Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Baker have one daughter, Ethel J. Mr. Baker is a truck gardener and is now, 1897, erecting a bicycle factory on his place. He is a Republican, and the family attend the German Reformed church.
