Wright, William E., rector of Grace Church, was born in Newark, N. J., February 6, 1856. He was a student at the University of New York and received his theological training under the direction of the Rt. Rev. John Scarborough, D.D., Bishop of New Jersey, and was ordained by him in St. Mary's Church at Burlington, N. J., June 8, 1884. He married Ella, daughter of Hon. N. W. Vail, of Middletown, N. Y. Mr. Vail was formerly a member of the legislature of Pennsylvania and was afterward appointed supervising architect of the State Asylum at Middletown by the late ex Governor Robinson.
