Lamson, David, was born in Millbury, Mass., November 30, 1839, and was educated in the public schools of Rhode
Island. December 16. 1859, he married, in Rhode Island, Sarah J. Wood, of Manchester, England, by whom he has a
son, Elbert V., born August 24, 1871. Mr. Lamson is foreman of the carding rooms of the Elmira woolen mills. In
1864 he enlisted in Company F, Forty second Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, and was honorably discharged at the
close of the war. He is a writer of some ability, being a contributor to the Industrial Record of New York city
and other textile trades publications.
