Edminster, George W., attorney at law, was born in Big Flats, April 23, 1866, a son of the late William Edminster,
successful farmer and business man of Chemung County. After thorough preparatory training in the Elmira Free Academy
and in the office of the Hon. G. L. Smith young Edminster entered Columbia College and was graduated as LL.B. in
the class of '89. He was admitted to the bar in May of the same year. In New York city he was made accident attorney
for the Manhattan Elevated Railway Company and and a large general practice until August, 1890, when he located
in Elmira, and in November following formed a copartnership with H. D. Wilcox. Mr. Edminster is thoroughly equipped
for his profession and possesses excellent business qualifications. He is a member of the association of Medical
Jurisprudence of the State of New York, of the Improved Order of Red Men, of the Y. M. C. A., and of the Thirtieth
Separate Company N. G.
